- represent yourself accurately, but connect what you’ve already done with the needs of the company while writing up the resume.
- network for the long term, nurturing your contacts in the industry, doing your best to make yourself available as a resource for these contacts, as well. authentic networker asks what he is doing right or wrong in his search & closes with a respectful comment that makes it obvious there is some give & take going on.
- prepare for the interview by studying yourself with a SWOT analysis- acts as a scaffold to add commentory about your marketable skills:
- strenghts- what factors & influences motivated you? important personal characteristics? technical abilities? describe the problem that you worked on & the approach & results of it.
- weaknesses- list[tip of the iceberg] the technical & background experience weaknesses in relation to to the job & esp those the interviewer most likely has already assumed, then present a positive plan to move past it.
- opportunities & threats- what do the trends in science & business mean to you future career?
- if its a behavioural question, answer sincerely without guessing what the interviewer is looking for.
process of networking goes on forever, in many aspects of professional life, not just at job-search time & leads to new opportunities for collaboration, invitations to lecture, unsought job offers, & even form lifelong friends. so integrate into your daily routine:
- every contact you make is a seed to a future relationship.
- be generous, give your time & expertise freely, never keep score.
- do homework: know as much as possible about your contact before you plan an introduction.
- best cold calls are to people who are just a couple of years past you in experience.
- while you may not have more than a few moments, but you never know when the recruting opportunity strikes, so never hesitate to contact the top people in your field.
the best time to build a network is before you need it. relations are the most credible expression of who you are & what you have to offer.

Sticking to something optimistically, with the intention of :
- coming out stronger [gives relief]
- desperate hope [leads to stress]
- working on an extraordinary strategy [gives creative high]
doesn’t guarantee success.
But by being aware of why you can fail & picking a solution,
even if it is not perfect but ensures reaching your goal,
& working on it with the intent to win raises the probability of success.
Positive attitude is one where you have a stock of new perspectives to cheer yourself to motivate your discipline to always stay part of the solution.
How to align this attitude to win at our goals?
Target one reasonably achievable goal but put in unreasonable effort to do the impossible by nearing deadline/raising standards to concentrate your focus.
This hastiness helps because when you get hit with a turbulence
you don’t give up, for you have a chance because of the left over surplus time or you’ve already reached the basic standard, to meet the goal.
If you don’t have this chance you will give up easily in that frail moment of failure or frustration.

Organize the group in 3 ways:
- MEETINGS- these are assigned a particular time slot to deliver the aims & functions of the group.
- SESSIONS- these involve discussions with no time limit.
- INDIVIDUAL APPRAISAL- setting has you & only that person.
MEETINGS:
- Goal plan
full picture-reasons,objectives,profit,etc
- Segment the functions into one sitting completion tasks.
- Prioritize and set time limits.
- Assign the tasks along with reasons for completion.
- no collective responsibility. giving each a responsibility is the way to make one responsible and to tally for improvement.
- introduce new structure to remove boredom.
- give guidance but put them under a long lease of control.
- the task has to be challenging enough and also make one feel competent.
- to allay stress alternate responsibility slot with recovery slot.
- decide on what to celebrate so that others clearly know which success icon to emulate.
SESSIONS:
- encourage network & collaboration with I message.
- read books & share the information. welcome dissent. apply the concluding decision.
- assess strengths/weaknesses, likes/dislikes, motivations/dampness.
- ask for reason when faced with resistance.empathize with identity to allay their vulnerabilities & warps.
- don’t attack the person as evil. Correct the ignorance by calling for ad-hock working solution.
1-1 TALK:
- sublimate mistakes but acknowledge their interests seriously & give feedback.
- distressed people’ needs have to be cared for-advocate,preserve structure, help with basic work, provide information.
- let them choose to have control & power. people resist change when it is imposed on them.
- allow them to experiment with work to discover their flow.people don’t shirk from duty or resort to illegality if what they do is what they like.
- ask reasons when faced with resistance.
- empathize with identity to allay vulnerabilities & warped thinking.
- allow venting but with a time limit.
- self assurance not self awareness drives performance. give accurate description of the difficulty & trust over optimism in their ability.
- don’t judge-give hope. blame lack of effort for failure. on succeeding praise their unique strengths.
- if they attempted & failed -give feedback & motivation. if they are feeling weak even to attempt or are repeatedly failing then they have a weakness which requires long term stitches.

Based on congenital or pre-adolescence factors deciding your personality, automatic pop-ups of biased interpretations & emotions to a thought/idea occur, which could be:
- IRRATIONAL- interpretations consisting of inter-contradictory choices, which force you to stay indecisive. When too young to think all by yourself, your subconscious learnt this tangling from others’ irrational reasoning/judgements. This learned helplessness creates fear of unknown/future & cravings of desperate needs of clarity, able to influence others, happiness dependent on external events. You automatically start acting unpredictable/meek/anxious/neurotic.
- SNAPPY- obsessed with negative warp thoughts, you ruminate on how you are feeling instead of doing something to improve the way you are feeling. This inertia of inaction starts churning fear of chaos & a need of authority/approval/love. You start acting screwed/non-assertive/stressed-out/shy/depressed.
- GRANDEUR- obsessed with a spree of fame/power/money (external aspirations), you create for yourself inadequacies in self-growth,relations,societal contribution (internal aspirations). This creates fear of insignificance, lowering of self-esteem & increases cravings of respect/success/perfection. Unfulfilled they start becoming slackened/narcissistic/egoistic/aggressive/impulsive/hostile/distrust,resent,grudge others.
All these increase the need of feeling deserving. To get out of this vicious feeling rut:
- Acknowledge the negative thoughts, to juxtapose with conscience, in order to listen completely to that auto talk of void.
- Consciously choose to dispute those warp thoughts & needs, by competing contrary evidence for creating a positive view of self & future.
- Elicit a single, specific, modifiable cause or a next shortest action achievable outside your comfort zone to reach your goal.
- Check 3 requirements: no greater consequences of loss, conscience hurts to see it undone even after a long time span, passionate for ecstatic flow of contributing to a higher cause/discovering insights into truth/happy memories of relatedness.
- If all 3 are met, go ahead with the initiative. Using positive language (I want to do…,I’m going to…,I will…,) & a Di-dynamic strategy to stay in flow when facing either of these mental states:
- When stressed or screwed up: zoom away by socializing/humor,sublimate by mind-storming positive reasons for completing the task, focus on one action pathway, lower the standards to just needed requirements & do leisurely without a set time-limit.
- When feeling demotivated or slackened: zoom in with a calm, serious attitude & critically debug your excuses & commit completing task in one sitting, exploring new tools & increase your standards towards good enough with a set time limit.
- If you are not able to start on or unable to escape an adversity, hang on using humor /creativity/sublimation/integrated thinking to learn anything in that paralysed situation by committing to be part of the solution.
